65
birthday
on
Saturday
June 13th.
Audrey hosted a tea party with the co-hostess cousin Kylee. There were other attendees but they were all standing. Miss Audrey loved serving her Grandpa tea (lemonaid) and tiny cookies.

On Friday June 4th Reg stopped at an estate sale. A gal about our age was clearing everything out to downsize herself for a move to another location. She told Reg that her Mother had cared for her father the last years of his life and that's why she had so much "old guys" stuff. He and his second wife were collectors of things, he had been a furniture builder. Her father had immigrated here from Italy as a yound man. Reg found this leather plaque with 3 medals on it, she thought it might be something to do with an Italian stuff, and the gal sold it to him for .50 cents. She told Reg she though it was something her Dad brought here from Italy. We did a few hours of research on the Internet and found that is from France. It's a souvenir from the 1900 Summer Olympics in Paris. France held the World's Fair and the Summer Olympics at the same time. The history about it was fascinating (read about it on Wikipedia). Russ came over and he found out something similar to it had sold on E-Bay for $57.00. Reg was a Happy Grandpa !
Post Card update. I got postcards sent to all the houses in a small sub-division here in the east valley, and a couple of streets in another small sub-division. I am now working on getting 40-50 out to some of Reg and Reggie's regular customers. So far - no response. Expected rate of response on Post Card Mailings is 1 1/2 %. Cross your fingers for me.
